ABOUT ME JOSHUA BOATWRIGHT
I’ve always been an active person — curious, creative, and drawn to anything that challenged me to grow.
Growing up in upstate New York, I played just about every sport I could — basketball, baseball, dance, and even a little bit of everything in between. But the one that stuck, unexpectedly, was cheerleading.
I taught myself how to tumble as a kid, learning through repetition, trial, and a lot of passion. That love for movement turned into something much bigger — leading me to train with some of the best athletes and programs across New York and Miami, and eventually becoming a three-time World Champion.
By the time I was 17, I found a new passion in coaching. What started as helping athletes with the basics quickly evolved into a full-time career — traveling the world, working with programs of all levels, and developing my own methods and philosophies along the way.
Cheer has taken me places I could’ve never imagined — not just physically, but mentally and creatively. It taught me leadership, resilience, and how to bring out the best in others. It gave me the chance to give back to a sport that gave me everything.
As my career grew, so did my curiosity. I found myself drawn to the creative side of things — photography, branding, content creation, and marketing. That led to building CheerJB, a platform that now combines my coaching experience with my creative side — offering online courses, resources, and insight to athletes and coaches everywhere.
Today, my work lives at the intersection of sport and creativity. Whether I’m coaching athletes, designing digital content, or building new ideas behind the scenes, my goal is always the same — to inspire growth, connection, and excellence in everything I do.
