ABOUT JOSH

I’ve always been an active person — curious, creative, and drawn to anything that challenged me to grow.

Growing up in upstate New York, I played just about every sport I could get my hands on — basketball, baseball, dance, and everything in between. But the one that stuck, unexpectedly, was cheerleading.

I taught myself how to tumble as a kid, learning through repetition, trial, and a lot of passion. What started as a love for movement quickly became something bigger — leading me to train with elite athletes and programs across New York and Miami, and eventually compete at the highest level of the sport as a three-time World Champion.

Cheerleading became the foundation of everything I do.

By the time I was 17, I discovered a new passion in coaching. What began as helping athletes with the basics evolved into a full-time career — traveling internationally, working with programs of all levels, and developing my own methods, systems, and philosophies along the way.

Cheer has taken me places I never could have imagined — not just physically, but mentally and creatively. It taught me leadership, resilience, discipline, and how to bring out the best in others. More than anything, it gave me the opportunity to give back to a sport that gave me everything.

As my career grew, so did my curiosity.

I became increasingly drawn to the creative side of the industry — photography, branding, content creation, and marketing. That curiosity led to the creation of CheerJB, a platform that blends elite coaching with creativity and education. Through CheerJB, I now offer choreography, coaching, consulting, online education, and performance insight to athletes and coaches around the world.

Today, my work lives at the intersection of sport and creativity. Whether I’m coaching on the floor, choreographing routines, reviewing performances, or building ideas behind the scenes, my goal remains the same — to inspire growth, connection, and excellence.
